Day two, after a local breakfast, we set off for Innsbruck. There were many magnificent buildings that bear witness to the city’s royal past, including the famous Golden Roof, the Hofkirche, and the Imperial Palace, where ceremonies were held for the emperor and his courtiers, as well as Maria-Theresien Street. Our optional sightseeing tour introduced us to the important landmarks of the city.

We returned to the hotel late in the evening.

Day three After breakfast we went to the Krimml Waterfalls and Kitzbühel.

We drove through the picturesque Gerlos Pass to the Krimml Waterfalls.

These waterfalls are 380 meters high. These magnificent waterfalls are widely considered to be among the best in Europe. The view was amazing. We experienced up close the unstoppable power of the water element.

The location at the entrance to the valley is particularly impressive, the huge amounts of water and the extraordinary 380 m high waterfall on three stages make the Krimml Waterfalls an impressive natural spectacle. They are also the fifth highest waterfalls in the world. We had free time there and could walk along the lower waterfalls. Then we went to the picturesque, walled city of Kitzbühel. The city lies between the Kitzbühel Horn and Hahnenkamm mountains. We could choose free time and explore the walled old town or take a cable car ride up the mighty Hahnenkamm. I chose the latter option, of course the cable car ride was for an additional fee. The views were spectacular. In the evening we returned to the hotel.

Day four after breakfast we went to Salzburg. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Austria. In this city we had an organized walking tour with a guide. The tour lasted about 90 minutes.

We visited many historical sites. We admired the Baroque splendor of the churches and cathedrals, the might of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the charming Getriedegasse, which, with its wrought iron signs hanging over the doors, is one of the most beautiful shopping streets in Austria. A visit to Salzburg would not be complete without mentioning Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and before the tour ended we saw his former home where he was born and the square named after and dedicated to the famous composer.

Later we had free time and in the evening we went to the hotel.

Day Five The day’s excursion first included a trip to the picturesque resort of St. Johann in Tyrol before crossing the border into the Bavarian Alps where we visited Berchtesgaden. We had a trip to the Eagle’s Nest, dramatically perched on a mountaintop and famously the location of Hitler’s secret hideout. We began the tour with a scenic drive to the Obersalzberg mountain from where we boarded a local bus for a breathtaking drive along the Kehlstein road. We then drove to the top of the Eagle’s Nest where we enjoyed stunning views of Berchtesgaden and the Salzach Valley and had free time to explore the unique historic architecture which has remained in its original state. In the evening we arrived at our hotel.

Day six on this day we could take some free time for ourselves or choose a trip to the lovely Lake Achensee. I took the trip and I don't regret it. This region is an idyllic place and is considered one of the most beautiful in the Alps, the heart of which is this lake. We visited the town of Pertisau, where we started our cruise on the lake. The cruise lasted just over an hour, during which we had coffee and cake on board. It was a great way to relax and admire the beautiful landscapes. Then we continued our journey to the traditional Alpine resort of Mayrhofen. The town itself, located at the end of the Ziller Valley, is the third largest community in Tyrol. It lies under the Hintertux glacier and is located between the Penken and Ahorn mountains. We had free time to explore the resort and its trendy shops. At around 10 pm we left for Poland.

Day Seven We arrived in Poland in the early morning hours.
